Case snapshot
A regional produce distributor came to us in June with a problem familiar to anyone in the business: their incumbent carrier was tendering back roughly one load in five during the summer surge, and rejected tenders were landing on the spot market at the worst possible moment.
We built a small dedicated pool of four reefer carriers pre-committed to the lane, held a fixed rate for the six-week window, and required pre-cool verification with a photographed set point at every pickup. Across 43 loads, all were covered, 42 delivered inside the receiving window, and the single late arrival was rescheduled the same day after a highway closure.
